So Why Natural?
So why natural? Because your child deserves it! That's it. Many products that are used in the daily lives of our children contain toxic ingredients that are known to disrupt their endocrine system. The endocrine system is very important in our body. It controls and regulates all of our hormones.
Hormones are important for many different reasons.
Do you like living, people?
Since I've been trying to change our way of living, my mind often wonders to how the world has attained this strange paradox. We are capable of doing pretty much anything scientifically. Nevertheless, we are exposing ourselves more than ever to harmful things in/from our environment.
I feel like so many things going on in this world today with our children ultimately fall back on exposure to harmful chemical and ingredients in our hygiene products, cleaning products, food, clothing, and more. I'm referring to behavioral issues, development, and physical problems such as obesity or diabetes. The list is endless. Stay with me! I won't bore you with my theories.
With all that being said, it is important that we try to make our environment better for our children by whatever tiny little thing we can do. By no means am I perfect or do everything just "right", but I try to take small steps every day to enhance my child's life now and in the future. Using natural and organic items is a surefire way to make a huge difference for your child. You would agree, right?
Stay away from the following things! (Found in hygiene items, mostly)
- Parabens: A known endocrine disrupter...in other words, it can cause havoc on your body chemistry!
- BPA: Also a known endocrine disrupter, has been linked to breast cancer, obesity, heart disease.
- Phthalates: These little suckers cans sneak into your personal care items and are umbrella'ed under the term "fragrance". You read fragrance, you read phthalates. Phthalates can cause hormone changes or problems with the male reproductive system.
This is just a small overview. These seemingly harmless items listed on an ingredient list are actually just the opposite. They are life-altering!
So why wouldn't you want to go natural?
